Thanks for all your postings on your excellent web site. I am interested in purchasing a copy but it would be a great idea if there was a sample chapter or excerpt to whet the appetite.
I am familiar with your writing of course so I am sure it would be a worthy purchase.
Any chance I can see a sample from the book?
(NOTE: my ‘touronabike’ web site is still in development,. just thought I would give you a sneek preview!)

I’m interested in your book. Do you have a sample chapter so that I can see the type of content?

I want to access your winter cycling book online, but don’t have any of the e-readers that you mention. Is there a way I can simply download it as a PDF file?
(Of course, I would still pay for it.)

Yes Lance, you can download the WINTER CYCLING book as a PDF. It is option number 3 on this page: http://www.wintercyclingbook.com/buy/ You also get a paperback copy of the book with this option.

I live up here in Fairbanks Ak, I am about to get a fat bike for my winter riding. Today it was -35 below zero, so I had to were a tough and heavy Carhartt suite, with Bunny boots, for my morning bike ride. Will your book have info. on what to were in this cold whether? If not could you please give me some advise.

To answer your question… no, Winter Cycling will not tell you exactly what clothes you should be wearing in super cold temperatures. I do not recommend any specific products in the book. However, I do tell you how to dress and what types of fabrics and designs to look for in the clothing that you buy for winter cycling.
I don’t mention specific winter cycling products because these products change and go out of date so fast that if I were to recommend specific products, it would make the content in the book obsolete before it even got to the printer. So instead of mentioning specific products, I tell you what fabrics are best for winter cycling clothing, how to layer your clothing, and what specific features to look for in the clothing items you buy.
You might also want to watch this video: http://bicycletouringpro.com/blog/winter-clothing-instructional-video/ It might help you a little to understand the many layers of clothes you will need to equip yourself with to cycle in several cold conditions.
